Lady Gaga’s Dad Hired a Stripper to Give her Piano Lessons

“My first piano teacher was a stripper. My dad told me later. I used to say to her, ‘Why do you have such long nails?’ She just said, ‘Someday you’ll understand why.”

Lady Gaga opened up on Howard Stern’s radio show how her father Joe once hired an exotic dancer to teach his daughter to play piano.

Really? My mom hired some 60 year old, smelly Russian lady with a mustache. So I quit because I definitely did not want to someday look like her. Damn it, MOM! I could have been a maestro!

Stern was quite fascinated with was the fact that Gaga’s stripper piano teacher danced at one of his favorite NYC gentleman’s clubs – Scores, leading him to wonder if he’d ever gotten a lap dance from Gaga’s instructor.
